Welcome To Thailand

Welcome To Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Feb 2010

I arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport after an eleven hour flight from Heathrow. I knew my wife would be waiting for me so I quickly found my suitcase and hurried onto passport control. Passing through customs was easy so I walked on and met my wife who was waiting at the end of a sea of people holding up contact signs in Thai and English. We had one hour to catch our connecting flight to Udon Thani. My wife had just booked two seats on a Thai Airways flight so there was no time to waste.

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is the Daddy, to give you some idea of the size of the place I would say it has to be at least five times the size of Heathrow. It's more a Cathedral than an Airport and it can take ages to get from A to B, this is it's only drawback.

Jet lag was setting in as we made our way onto the Thai Airways flight. Oh well, it was see you later Suvarnabhumi Airport and onto Udon Thani.
