This is an area of Isaan that is developing fast but still has plenty of farmland, paddy fields and rubber tree plantation's which is probably now it's main money earner. The nearest tourist areas to Na Thom are the Jet Si Waterfall and Bung Khong Long Lake which is all a short drive away over into the neighbouring Nong Khai region.

After three hours of driving from Udon Thani airport we enter the Na Thom region, my wife's village and family home. It's a very rural area with paddy fields, farms & rubber tree plantations.
